Why friendship is important?
My dear friends happy friend ship day. You are my selfless love, care, respect and honor not a profitable opportunity.
Thank you all for coming to my life and making my life easier, when I talk to you about my thoughts and share problems with you. I know you guys don’t do anything but thank you. ☺️
Thank you for the wine of my life, when we sit together and you guys don’t pay. ☺️
World is celebrating the friendship day on very first Sunday of the month of August every year, wishing over whatsapp. Posting on Facebook, making as status updates. Do we really have those friends to celebrate it this lively or only we are pretending to celebrate just for the known ones around us.
Do we really know from where this friendship day originates, why it is celebrated. There is no fairy tale behind celebrating this.
I need to tell you here that Friendship Day was originated by Joyce Hall, the founder of Hallmark cards in 1930, intended to be 2 August and a day when people celebrated their friendships by holiday celebrations. Friendship Day was promoted by the greeting card National Association during the 1920s but met with consumer resistance – given that it was too obviously a commercial gimmick to promote greetings cards. In the 1940s the number of Friendship Day cards available in the U.S. by had dwindled and the holiday largely died out there.
There is no evidence to date for its uptake in Europe; however, it has been kept alive and revitalized in Asia, where several countries have adopted it. So we in India is adopting a commercial stunt of sale of gifting things like cards and other goods to be exchanged as token of friendship.
It is not it of friendship day, we are celebrating this day, with emotional gut, more involved than any other country people, and I personally feel. The day is not just for a special person to feel you best friend, the friend can be in any form, it may be a person who met you daily at the bus stand and greets you with smile, that makes your day, it may be your mom to whom you can share each and every thing, it may be a colleague in your office who takes the burden of saving you from boss’s eyes.
A friend is for your rescue always. We may celebrate each day as friendship day, in fact we celebrate each day as friendship day, when we party with friends with a very small reason or no reason, and it is a friendship day. When a shoulder comes to you to let you cry and wipe your tears and nose as tissue, it is a friendship moment. Yes. Shared joy is double joy and shared sorrow is half sorrow and in friendship, joys and sorrows are often shared, making life a happy one and full of contentment, too. When the silence between two persons are too comfortable and everything seems to be said and done and understood in just few or no words it is friendship, enjoy the moments of friendship enjoy the life make marry.
